No other city in America can lay claim to three of the most popular types of pizza: deep dish, stuffed, and thin & crispy.
This said, it’s hard to believe that, until 2007, Chicago didn’t have an annual event to celebrate one of the city’s most popular culinary exports!
The 2nd annual Pizza Fest Chicago has one major focus: pizza, pizza … and more pizza! In addition to pizza vendors galore, other weekend highlights will include a great live music stage lineup. There will also be a ‘best pizza’ contest where the region’s top chefs (and restaurants) will be invited to submit their entries for the city’s best crust, sauce, gourmet ingredients and more — all to be judged by panels of celebrities, food critics and the general public.
